Westborough – Once again, the Westborough Police Department is joining its colleagues across the state in a special initiative, “No Shave November.”
Participating officers are allowed to grow facial hair in exchange for donations that they then contribute to a worthy cause.
This year, the “Whiskers for Westborough” effort, as it is dubbed, is raising funds for Home Base No Shave, a program run by the Boston Red Sox and Massachusetts General Hospital. This program supports veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSD), traumatic brain injuries, anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders that are associated from their time in the military.
To donate to this initiative, mail checks to the WPD at 45 W Main St, Westborough, 01581 MA.
