Marlborough – David B. Richard, 69, of Marlborough, died unexpectedly at his home after a period of declining health on Sept. 8, 2021.
He was born in Cambridge, the son of the late, Paul and Alice (Lund) Richard. He graduated from Arlington High School.
David employed as a CDL Truck Driver and was a member of Local 25. He worked for Brigham’s Ice Cream for 17 years.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Patricia “Patty” (Hankins) Richard of Marlborough; three children, Francis Mavilia and his wife Linda of Groton, Paul Mavilia of Grafton, and Laurel Ebert and her husband Jared of Boylston; three grandchildren, Anna, Jacob, and Madalyn; two sisters, Paulette Eori and her husband Paul of Duxbury and Renee Richard of Billerica; a brother, Paul and Diane Richard of SC, formerly of Duxbury; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Andrew Mavilia.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Sept. 24, at 11 a.m., in St. Anne Church, 20 Boston Rd., Southborough. Burial will be at a later date.
