Shrewsbury – Sandra S. Gordon, 79, of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly at her residence on Friday, April 8, 2022.
She leaves behind her husband of 55 years Henry B. Gordon. Together they lived in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts for 45 years and raised their three children – Beth and her husband Rick Schlesinger of Aurora, IL; David Gordon of Harrisville, NH, and Mindee Gordon of Worcester, MA. In addition to her husband and children, Sandra leaves behind her two grandsons, RJ and Ryan Schlesinger of Aurora, IL; her sister Susan and her husband Stephen Kelsey of Bernardston, MA, and many cousins and family.
After graduating from Ludlow High School, Sandra attended Shepard Gill School of Practical Nursing in Boston where she became a licensed practical nurse. She always loved babies and began her nursing career at Wesson Maternity Hospital in Springfield, MA. She left her nursing career to raise her own children, but maintained her nurturing and care-giving ways until the day she passed.
In keeping with Sandra’s wishes there will be no formal funeral service. However, Sandra’s family is determining the best way to celebrate her life and will share information when it’s available.
