Northborough – Mildred L. Aucoin of Northborough passed away on July 13, 2022 at the age of 83 years old. She was the beloved mother to Kevin P. Aucoin and Denise M. Aucoin with whom she resided. Mildred was born and raised in Roxbury, the youngest of four daughters to the late Peter and Mabel (MacEachern) Blanchard.
Mildred was a graduate of the Roxbury Academy and was a longtime clerk with former New England Telephone Co. She also was a trained in professional dancing and fondly recalled the opportunity to dance alongside Don Ameche in a production. She was married to Ralph R. Aucoin in 1961. Together they relocated to their home in Northborough where she spent her remaining days. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed sewing, caring for her cats and attending concerts with her children. She was especially excited to attend several of Engelbert Humerdinck’s concerts.
In addition to her children Mildred is survived by a sister, Nancy Aucoin of Waltham; a sister-in-law Mary Forman of Thousand Oaks, CA; a godson David Aucoin of Waltham, several nieces and nephews. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Ralph in 1992 as well as her sisters, Elizabeth Armstrong, Helen Whapham and Irene Mathews.
Calling hours are set for 7-9 PM on Tuesday, July 19, at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 20 at St. Rose of Lima Parish, 244 W. Main Street, Northborough. Burial will follow in Howard Street Cemetery, Northborough.
