Joseph E. Kelly, 81, of Northborough

Joseph E. KellyNorthborough – We lost our Husband, our Dad, our Papa, our Friend, Joseph Edward Kelly, earlier this week, in the late evening of August 9, 2022. Joseph was born in West Virginia in 1941, the son of Joseph W. Kelly and Helen (Shively) Kelly. He was the oldest brother to his three siblings Jim Kelly, Robert Kelly, and Patricia (Kelly) Douglas.

Surviving Joseph are his beloved wife Beverly Ann Kelly, four sons Bryan, Sean, Eric, and Darren, four daughter-in-laws, and eleven grandchildren. The Irish and German blood that flows through the Kellys’ veins will forever persist, bringing those same qualities that Joseph brought to his family, friends, and those that just needed a helping hand; to care, to love, and to reach out to those that did not yet have the smile that he had, in which he has infamously become known for.

From the High School Quarterback, to an altar boy, to an Eagle Scout, to a ND and PITT Graduate, to a husband of Miss Pennsylvania, to a father and grandfather, to numerous Digital and HP national and international top sales awards, to sustaining through cancer to seeing and enjoying his eleventh grandchild. Nothing was stronger than him until God wanted him back so that Joseph could bring those heavenly qualities to places where we have not yet seen. We love you Joe, Dad, Papa, Brother, Friend, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Calling hours will be held between 4-6 PM on Saturday, August 13, and between 3-5 PM on Sunday, August 14, at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, August 15 in St. Rose of Lima Parish, 244 W. Main Street, Northborough. Burial will follow in Howard Street Cemetery, Northborough.

The Kelly family will gladly receive floral tributes but if you wish, memorial contributions in Joseph’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
