Nancy DoucetteLudlow – Nancy (Boyden) Doucette, 91, of Ludlow entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 31, 2023 at her home in Keystone Commons in Ludlow. Born in Walpole, daughter of the late Albert and Marjorie (Elkerton) Boyden. She married the late Charles H. Doucette, Jr and they lived in Texas, North Carolina, Mississippi, Kentucky, Tennessee, New York, Utah, Louisiana, Southboro, Massachusetts and then settled in Feeding Hills in 1972.

She was a church secretary at Feeding Hill Congregational Church. She was active at Sacred Heart Church in Feeding Hills for many years and then moved to Ludlow in 2009. She was an avid reader, seamstress and doll maker and collector. She gave many talks to area groups about her doll collection.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children and their spouses, Pamela and Ronald Marin of Medway, MA, Charles H. III and Virginia Doucette of East Longmeadow, MA, Robert and Hiuwen Doucette of Dallas, TX, Thomas and Kari Doucette of Carlisle, MA and Carol and João (John) Bernardo of Ludlow. She also leaves a niece and her husband, Cheri and Anthony Colonna of Freehold, NJ, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Besides her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by her grandson Charles Doucette IV and her granddaughter, Nichole Doucette, and her brothers Albert, Richard and David Boyden.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents at Keystone Commons in Ludlow for their compassion, care and love for Nancy. She loved her life there which was enriched by everyone there.

Funeral services for Nancy will be held on Saturday August 5th, 2023 from the Ludlow Funeral Home. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 8:45-10:15am with a Liturgy of Christian Mass celebrated at 11:00am in St. Elizabeths Church. Following mass, burial for Nancy will take place at 12:45pm at Springfield Street Cemetery (1078 Springfield Street) in Feeding Hills, 01030.
