Westborough – Barbara “Jeanne” Uhlman, 79, of Westborough, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 8, 2023. She was the wife of William G. Uhlman of 61 years.
Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Barrows. She was raised and educated in Ashland and Westborough and was a 1961 graduate of Westborough High School.
Jeanne was employed as an administrative assistant for New England Power prior to her retirement. She was a member of The Congregational Church and Garden Club for many years and became an avid gardener where she enjoyed spending countless hours tending to her many flower gardens, making sure she had the radio tuned in to every Red Sox game. Family and friends will miss seeing her out in her many gardens. Her favorite and most memorable times spent were her summer trips to York Beach, ME and hosting her yearly Christmas gatherings with family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children, James W. Uhlman of Worcester, Kimberly J. Pueschel of Worcester, Kevin J. E. Uhlman of Westborough, Marjorie L. “Missy” Fratoni and her husband, Gary, of Westborough and Heidi M. Uhlman of Washington, NH; one sister, Elizabeth Goodhue of Northborough, 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She will also be greatly missed by her best friend Cathy Curran.
The family would like to thank the many caring people at Metro West Hospice especially Chelsea for her compassionate care and her caregiver Marcia.
Services will be private.
