West Hartford, CT – Miriam M Sidelinger Lewis died November 21 at the Hoffman SummerWood in West Hartford, CT at the age of 102. Her husband, Edward Sterling, predeceased her. She leaves her son Edward, his wife Jody and three grandchildren Drew, Jack and Ella, all of West Hartford.
Miriam lived her first 100 years in Massachusetts until 2021. She was born in Malden and graduated from Reading High School. She attended Boston University and then went to work for the Shawmut Bank where she met her husband. After moving to Westborough, she volunteered 41 years at Memorial Hospital.
Her family will have a greeting of guests starting at 11:00 AM, Wednesday November 29 at Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford. For those guests who wish to stay, a Memorial Celebration of Mimi’s life will begin at 12:00 Noon. After the Memorial Celebration at the funeral home, we will move for food and refreshments to Wampanoag Country Club at 60 Wampanoag Drive in West Hartford.
There will be a very brief ceremony at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA on the Cape the next day, Thursday, November 30 at 12:45 PM where Mimi will join her husband.
