Westborough – Ruth L. (Bailey) Gelina, 94, died peacefully on November 29, 2023 at Beaumont Skilled Nursing Center in Westborough, MA. Ruth was born in Hudson MA, the daughter of the late Maurice and Edna (Parmenter) Bailey.
Ruth and her husband, Louis, raised their family in Marlborough, MA. Ruth was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Louis L Gelina in August, 2015, her daughter Linda Sinclair, her brother Clarence Bailey, her sister Eleanor Bailey and her sister Carol Stafford.
Ruth worked as an assembler for Raytheon Corporation for over 18 years.
Ruth’s greatest joy was the time she spent with her family. She also enjoyed square dancing, travelling, camping, and cooking.
Ruth is survived by her son Paul Gelina and his wife Peggy of Pepperell MA, daughter Susan O’Bryan and her husband Michael of FL, 4 grandchildren Chrissy, Lora, Stacey, and Scott, and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Cindy Bradley and husband Bob of NH, her brother Warren Bailey and his wife Vivian of ME, and a son-in-law Ronald Sinclair of Millbury, MA and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 10am-11am followed by a funeral service at 11am in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 West Main Street, Marlborough, MA. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.
