Westborough – Emily M. Collins, 93, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 at the Beaumont Skilled Nursing and Rehablitation Center. She was married to Joseph Collins for 45 years until his death in 1986.

She was born Sept. 8, 1918 to Fred and Lena (Ronda) Bianchi. She had a brother, Louis, and a sister, Emma, who predeceased her. Mrs. Collins was the devoted mother of Ronda Lanzetta and her husband, Al, and loving grandmother of Jason Lanzetta and his wife Carolyn, David Lanzetta and his fiancé Elissa Zizmor, and Jeffrey Lanzetta, who died in 1990. She was very proud of her three great-grandchildren, Lily, Cate, and Nathan, who brought her much joy. She also leaves her niece, Beverly Thurrott, and her husband Jack; her nephew, Louis Bianchi and his wife Jean; and grandniece and grandnephews and their families. Besides her family, she leaves her adopted family at Beaumont Skilled Nursing in Westborough who took such loving care of her over the past 21 months and made sure that her time there was filled with kindness and happiness.

Many thanks to the special visitors who were dedicated to providing Mrs. Collins with companionship and support, and to the Salmon Hospice Care Team who brought her much comfort. She will be missed by many, but remembered with smiles and love.

She enjoyed gardening, trips to Florida, and helping others. She attended St. Luke the Evangelist Church for many years.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
