MARLBOROUGH – Marlborough High School’s Ava VanBuskirk set a pair of school records at the MIAA Division III Indoor Track Championships last week, marking a milestone day as a number of teammates also had success.

VanBuskirk, who already set the MHS record for the 55 meter dash earlier this year, beat her own mark of 7.63 seconds with a new time of 7.54 seconds on her preliminary heat on Feb. 16.

She then topped that just a few moments later with a time of 7.43 seconds.

That was good for second place in the girls 55 meter dash finals

VanBuskirk continued her day, competing in the 300 meter race and the long jump.

She nabbed her second school record in that 300 meter event, finishing in a time of 41.95.

Beyond VanBuskirk, Panthers 10th grader Risha Khanderia set a personal record in the 600 meter run.

Maggie Horn, meanwhile, set a personal record in the 1000 meter run.

Outside of Marlborough, Westborough’s Alan Nguyen also set his own school record at this Division III meet as he won the boys long jump competition.
