Ashley WardleNorthborough – Ashley Paige Wardle, 30, of Northborough, MA passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester after fighting one last battle, surrounded by her loving family.

Ashley was born in Framingham, MA, the daughter of the late Robert C. Wardle IV and Johanna L. (Koenig) Wardle.

Ashley is survived by her Mother, Johanna Wardle of Northborough, her sister Jordan Wardle and Jordan’s  fiancé, Levi Blake, her Uncle William Downey,  Aunt Helen Downey, and cousin Mary Louise Downey, her Uncle Paul Raymond, Aunt Christine Raymond, cousins Elizabeth and Amanda Raymond and Amanda’s son Gavin, her Aunt Barbara Koenig, and her Aunt Shelly Vavrin and Uncle John Vavrin. She also leaves an extended family of many close cousins and friends.

Ashley attended Hudson High School, before going on to attend Cosmix School of Beauty Sciences. She was interested in cosmetology and wanted to work in the field, specifically as a makeup artist. Ashley also found joy caring for children when she was able and was happy to have had an impact on those children and their families.  She was passionate in all things (especially her nails, which always had the most beautiful designs) and was an extremely strong and determined woman.  Ashley loved the shows “Friends,” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” as well as Boston sports teams, the beach, and music.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA. A service will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A private burial will be held in the spring.

Please indicate it is for research by Alexa Kimball, MD. She is the specialist who treated Ashley’s hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), and helped her fight be as successful as it was all these years.
