Westborough – The Westborough Cultural Council will be hosting the sixth annual “Arts in Common” festival, to be held on the green at Bay State Commons, Saturday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival features not only performing arts, but artists, artisans and chefs as well. Five years ago, as the Bay State Commons was being completed, members of the Cultural Council saw the new green space as a gathering place for a community arts festival that would showcase the cultural diversity that is not always so obvious in New England towns.
Thanks to the vision and generosity of sponsors, advertisers, performers and artists, the first “Arts in Common” was a huge success, and has continued to grow. Because of this support, the event continues to be free to all, with no admission fees. In addition to the performing and graphic arts, the festival features talented artisans and food vendors with an international flavor.
