Hudson – As the town celebrates its 150th anniversary, diplomas were presented June 5 to 184 members of the class of 2016 during the 142nd graduation exercises at the Hudson High School (HHS) Gymnasium.
Speakers included Superintendent Dr. Jodi Fortuna; Principal Brian Reagan, Scott Kall, valedictorian; and Samantha Johnson, salutatorian. Other speakers were the class officers: Dennis Panneton, president; Joshua Teixeira, vice president; and Kayley Cedrone, secretary. Music was provided by the HHS Concert Band conducted by Jason Caron, and HHS Camerata under the direction of Jeannette McLellan.
Each graduate wore a purple ribbon in memory of their classmate Aryanna Harvey, who unexpectedly passed away in her sleep April 2. According to her obituary, “She was very proud to be a member of the 2016 graduating class” and “was looking forward to graduating with her classmates this spring.”
