Shrewsbury Patriots Division 12 cheerleaders to compete in nationals
Shrewsbury - For the second year in a row, the Shrewsbury Patriots Division 12 cheerleaders are heading to national championship competition. The Division 12 team, coached by Erly Scott, is the first Shrewsbury team to attend Nationals for two consecutive years.
After placing first in the American Youth Cheerleading (AYC) local competition in Lowell, the D12 team was up against tough competitors from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut at the AYC Regional Competition held in Manchester, N.H. Nov. 22. The girls placed second, earning a spot at the 2014 AYC National Championship which will be held in Orlando, Fla. Thursday, Dec. 13 and Friday, Dec. 14.
