Robert H. Perkins, 81

Southborough – Robert H. “Perk” Perkins 81, of Southborough, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 after a period of declining health at Southeastern Rehab and Nursing Center in North Easton. Perk was a beloved husband, devoted father, doting Papa. He was the husband of the late Joanne (Guzzi) Perkins, who passed away in 2009.

Perk was a graduate of Newton High School and earned his bachelor degree at Boston University. He was U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.

He worked for Prudential Insurance as a senior adjuster until he retired in 2005.

Perk was a charter member and King Lion of the Southborough Lions Club, a retired Rooster of the Jaycees, and a member of St. Anne Church of Southborough. He also enjoyed flea markets, golfing, and fishing.

He is survived by his children, Christopher Perkins and his wife Cynthia of Bellingham and Michele Rogers and her husband Scott of Mansfield; two brothers, George Perkins and his wife Joyce of Virginia and Arthur Perkins and his wife Donnie of Newburyport; six grandchildren, Daniel, Sean and Megan Perkins, and Matthew, Patrick and Samantha Rogers; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 4 – 7 p.m., at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St. (Route 30), Southborough. A funeral Mass will be held Thursday, Dec. 5, at 11 a.m., at St. Anne Church, 20 Boston Rd., Southborough. Burial will follow in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
