Westborough – The Westborough High School Rangers girls lacrosse team defeated the Shrewsbury High School Colonials by a score of 14-7 in a game played April 16.
The teams battled back and forth in the first half, with Westborough holding a slim 7-6 lead at halftime. Westborough dominated the second half, scoring seven unanswered goals before Shrewsbury was able to score in the closing minutes of the game.
Sarah Bracey and Nicole Foster scored four goals each for Shrewsbury, while Lauren Inseson and Rachel St. Pierre were Shrewsbury’s top scorers with three goals each.
Westborough’s record improves to 4-0 on the season while Shrewsbury drops to 3-4.
