Marlborough: Library expands summer hours

2

Marlborough – The Marlborough Public Library will now remain open on summer Saturdays from 9-5. The change was made as a result of many comments received in the library’s recent survey.

“People asked us to remain open all day on Saturday instead of closing at 1 p.m. and we are pleased to be able to make this change,” said Margaret Cardello, Library Director. The library will remain closed on Sundays during the summer, from July 4 through Labor Day.

The Library is planning three summer reading programs again this year, one for children, teens and adults. While registration begins on June 1, the program officially kicks off Friday, June 20 with a library-wide celebration. People are also encouraged to reserve one of the library’s many museum passes for some summer fun. The passes help make a museum visit much more affordable for families.

The library is located at 35 West Main St. Parking is available directly behind the library. For more information, call the library at 508-624-6900 or visit www.marlboroughpubliclibrary.org.
