Shrewsbury – April Healey has retired as vice president of retail operations, after 16 years with Central One Federal Credit Union.
Credit union officials said in a press release, “[Healey’s] leadership helped Central One keep pace with changing needs of our members while preserving our core values of serving with passion, commitment and a positive attitude.”
Healey is an active member of the community, having served as a past-president of the Rotary Club of Shrewsbury. She also served on the School/Business Partnership committee as liaison to Shrewsbury High School and as a board member of the Corridor Nine Area Chamber of Commerce.
“The entire Central One family thanks April for her years of service and wishes her and her family all the best in retirement,” the press release said.
In lieu of a retirement gift, Healey asked that Central One and her co-workers make a donation to support the Hope Lodge in Worcester, a patient service program of the American Cancer Society, which offers free lodging and support for cancer patients traveling to Massachusetts for ongoing treatment. All together, she raised $1,000 to donate to the charity, which the credit union will be matching dollar to dollar.
