Westborough – Love a capella? The award winning Women of Note Barbershop Chorus will perform their newest repertoire in a 30-minute show in Tatnuck Bookseller’s community room, Monday, Aug. 15, at 7:30 p.m. The performance is a culmination of their “Summer Sing Fling” series of open rehearsals, in which the group invited women of all ages to experience the joy of singing in close, four-part harmony during this summer’s rehearsals.
Founded more than 25 years ago, the Hudson, Mass. chapter of Harmony, Inc., also known as Women of Note, brings four-part a cappella harmony to the local community through regular performances and educational events. The chorus consists of women representing a wide range of musical backgrounds, from novice to trained professionals, and performs under the direction of Ray Johnson. The group rehearses from 7-9:30 p.m. on Mondays at the Grace Baptist Church, 353 River Rd., Hudson. All women are encouraged to join the rehearsals as the group’s guests.
