Her nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her life. She enjoyed every celebration to be with the little ones.

Fran was a devout Catholic, and as many of you know, had the Catholic channel on 24/7. She was a former member of her beloved St. Ann Church, and recently the IC Church. She enjoyed the weekly visits of Fr. Przemer and was always trying to feed him her sister’s cooking.

Fran’s working career began in a shoe factory, then Raytheon, retiring in 1994. She continued to stay active and began volunteering at Marlborough Hospital for over 25 years. She was loved by all.

Fran remained active during her retirement and eventually formed what is now known as Friends of St. Ann Travel club which grew to over 100 travelers. She took great pride in setting up monthly trips and more. She will be remembered in all future trips because we never began a trip without saying a prayer for safe travels. The first trip planned after Covid will be in her memory. She created an opportunity for many people who were alone to enjoy making new friends and traveling to new places.

Fran was awarded Sr. of the Year several years ago, being recognized for her commitment to community and family.

Fran’s family wish to thank the caring and compassionate care given to her at UMass Memorial Worcester, and to the doctor on Two West for his compassion and understanding.

Special thanks go to her wonderful caregivers, Nelie, Paula, Gabriella, Lorraine and Sueli, who made her laugh, prayed with her, and loved her.

Arrangements will be private due to Covid. As per Fran’s request, there will be a celebration of life for all her friends and family when we are all able to be together.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sons of Italy Scholarship fund: Bandiera & Concordia Lodge #240, c/o of Elizabeth Evangelous, Scholarship Coordinator, 47 Arnold St., Marlborough, MA 01752-2004.
