Hudson – Theresa E. (Ducharme) Rowe, fondly referred to as “Terry”, 92, of Hudson, MA formerly of Marlborough, MA passed peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years Roland R. Rowe in 2001.
Terry was born and raised in Hudson, MA, daughter of the late Joseph and Alma (Benoit) Ducharme. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Hudson High School class of 1948.
Following high school Terry began a short career with State Mutual Insurance Company in Worcester, MA as a stenographer and typist until becoming a stay-at-home mom to raise and care for her family. The family spent 30 years residing in Marlborough, MA until in 1984 Roland and Terry moved to Hudson, MA. Terry spent 18 wonderful years working at the East Main Street Dunkin Donuts from 1977 to 1995 when she retired. She was a member of Saint Michael Parish in Hudson, MA.
Terry leaves her son Alan Rowe and his wife Andrea of Sturbridge, MA; her 2 daughters, Gail Fitzpatrick and her longtime partner Edward Regonini of Westborough, MA, Karen Burdick and her husband Douglas of Clinton, MA; along with her 6 grandchildren, Kelly Gibbs and her husband Brad of Halifax, MA, Blake Rowe of New York, NY, Jordan Rowe of Boston, MA, Camden Rowe of New York, NY, Jamie Smith and her husband Josh of Marshfield, MA, Jessie Burdick of Cambridge, MA and her 5 great grandchildren, Brady, Bryar and Brandon Gibbs, Max and Ava Smith. She was predeceased by her brother Roland Ducharme; her sister Doris Jalko and also leaves her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
Terry lived a long and fruitful life. She enjoyed her many years raising her family along with her husband Roland. Roland and Terry enjoyed traveling together on vacations and excursions to many destinations. Later she always looked forward to visiting Foxwoods Resort with her (Foxwood Pals). Most of all she cherished her family and the times they shared, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered by all who loved and knew her as she was unique to each and everyone one of them.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 10:00 to 11:30 am followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:30 am on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. Graveside services will be held privately in Saint Michael Cemetery, Hudson, MA at a later date.
Please join the family following the service at Casta Diva Restaurant, 35 Solomon Pond Road, Northborough, MA for lunch and to continue celebrating Terry’s life.
