Jacob W. RogersShrewsbury – It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Jacob W. “Jake” Rogers, 20, of Shrewsbury, on Thursday, March 3, 2022.

He leaves his loving parents, Christopher “Chris” and Ann-Marie (Flanagan) Rogers; his brother, Samuel G. “Sam” Rogers; his maternal grandparents, William and Clare Flanagan, of Needham; his aunts and uncles: Michael and Anita Rogers, of Acton, Ted and Kay Martland, of Nashua, NH, Tony and Carol Healey, of Needham, Joe and Christine Flanagan, who were also Jake’s loving Godparents, Susan and Frank Cosolito, of Medfield, Ed and Sarah Flanagan, of Arlington, and Rick and Leslie Flanagan, of Braintree; along with many cousins, with whom he shared deep connections; and his canine best friend, Jerry. Jake was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Virginia Rogers.

He was born in Sevierville, TN, later raised and educated in Shrewsbury. Jake graduated from Shrewsbury High School, Class of 2020. He worked for several local automobile dealerships and was recently looking forward to starting a new position in Sales. In his free time, Jake loved playing video games – he will be remembered for his silly laugh, the twinkle in his eye, his big appetite, as he was known to eat Double Quarter Pounders, and his deep love for animals.

Jake’s family takes comfort in knowing that he is finally at peace, and is now in the hands of God.

Calling hours will be held from 4 – 7 PM on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at St. Mary’s Church, 640 Main St., Shrewsbury – kindly proceed directly to church – with burial to follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
