Southborough kids enjoy annual Halloween parade

Southborough – The rain forecast Oct. 30 delayed just in time for costumed kids to participate in the annual Halloween Parade. The longtime tradition is presented by the Southborough Firefighters Association.

Northborough Crossing hosts Halloween Spooktacular

Northborough – A relatively-new and free holiday event continued as families flocked Oct. 29 to the open-air shopping center Northborough Crossing for a Halloween Spooktacular. Mingling among them were the costumed Minions characters for children to meet.

Westborough High seniors score Trivia Champs trophy

Westborough – Thirty-six teams of three players figuratively donned their thinking caps Oct. 24 at the DoubleTree by Hilton as they challenged themselves for the ninth annual Trivia Bee, the primary fundraiser of the Westborough Education Foundation (WEF). The real winners were Westborough students because WEF has provided $340,000 in grants in its 20-year history.

Hudson High students reach out to refugees through UNICEF Club

Hudson – Three years after social studies teacher Ken High created it as way for students to participate in community service projects outside of school, the students that make up the UNICEF One World Club at Hudson High School are making plans to provide direct support to local refugees and understand the crisis that chased them from their homes.
