Stafford Springs, CT – Sandra L. (Smith) Woodin, 72, of Stafford Springs, CT, formerly of Holliston, MA, Hudson, MA and Marlborough, MA, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her husband Richard A. Woodin Jr. of Stafford Springs, CT.

Sandra was born in North Conway, NH and spent time residing in Marlborough, MA, Hudson, MA and Holliston, MA. Both Sandra and Richard settled in Stafford Springs where they have resided for the past 17 years. She was employed by the former Digital Equipment Corporation for many years as a purchasing agent and following their closure she held several other positions locally until her retirement.

Besides her husband Richard, Sandra is survived by her daughter, Angela (Pacitti) Mita and her husband Tom of New Hampshire; her 7 brothers, Michael, Mark, Brian, Patrick, John, Glen and Paul Saliga, all of Hudson, MA and her sister Mary-Ellen Sherman and her husband Steve of Hudson, MA. She also leaves her step-daughter Danielle Burke and her husband Kevin of Wilbraham, MA; step-grandchildren Nolan and Emily Burke; sister-in-law Marybeth Woodin of Cambridge, MA; 3 brothers-in-law, Mark Woodin of Milbury, MA. Michael Woodin and his wife Connie of Connecticut, Joe Woodin of Vermont along with her best friend Jane Houde of Hudson, MA, other relatives and close friends.

Sandra was always at her best when relaxing at home with family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and in her spare time would read and do crossword puzzles. She would always find the best in people and will forever be remembered for her unique forgiving spirit.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 10:00am in Saint Michael Parish, 21 Manning Street, Hudson, MA; followed by a procession to Saint Michael Cemetery, Cox Street, Hudson, MA, for Urn Burial.
