The C.A. six tips of the day for March 19Region – Today is Monday, March 19. Not only that, it is the last official day of winter!

On this day in 2003, the United States initiated Operation Iraqi Freedom against Iraq, which was under the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein.

With casinos so much in the news it's interesting to note that on this date in 1931,Nevada legalized gambling. Officials hoped it would help lift the state which had been hit particularly hard by the Great Depression. Today, Las Vegas is of course, one of the world's mecca's of gambling.

Weird fact of the day – the largest omelet in history was made with 160,000 eggs in Yokohama, Japan on this day in 1994.
