Region - In not-too-distant seasons past, mediocrity has been the norm for the Grafton High varsity ice hockey team. It’s not that the effort has not been there, quite the contrary, but records of .500 in 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 were pedestrian at best, say current seniors who were members of those squads.

Grafton Special Town Meeting set for Feb. 8

Grafton – During its Jan. 5 meeting, the Grafton Board of Selectmen approved the warrant for the Monday, Feb. 8 Special Town Meeting (STM). The purpose of the STM is to create an aggregate electrical supply authority. Recently two competing plans were presented to the town Planning Board. One of the two proposals was through the Solarize Mass Program from the Direct Energy Solar Company. The second was from a team from Good Energy Company (GE). Both spoke of being able to considerably lower the cost of electricity for Grafton residents and businesses.

Overflow crowd results in discussion regarding proposed marijuana facility being rescheduled

Grafton residents concerned over proposed marijuana dispensary

Grafton - On Nov. 17, after a scheduled public hearing had been concluded, the Grafton Board of Selectmen voted to write a “letter of non-opposition” regarding a proposed marijuana dispensary to be run by Milford Medicinals at 206 Worcester St., (Route 122), the location of a former Cumberland Farms. The company currently operates a registered marijuana dispensary in Milford. Grafton would be its second site.

Congregational Church of Grafton is cooking up a slice of town history

Grafton – Recipes can be comforting, adventurous or nourishing. There are some that are all three. But, sometimes, they transcend the words on the page (or the screen). They become mini-stories of people, places and events. At the Congregational Church of Grafton, these are the kind of recipes the congregation is hoping to find. As a fundraiser, the church is compiling a cookbook filled with recipes from current and past Grafton residents. Through Friday, Jan. 15, the church is encouraging the community to submit recipes for the Grafton Cookbook.

Selectmen mull liquor license for Grafton Flea Market
